Krone Big M II
32 foot Cut!  Merged into one 6 foot row!

The Krone Big M II is the largest self-propelled disc mower conditioner on the market. This machine cuts and conditions up to a 32 foot swath at operating speeds up to 10.5 MPH. During the 2000 season, the Krone Team acheived two world records for acres cut in 24 hours (778) and acres cut in one hour (37.6).

Since its introduction in 1996, there are more than 600 machines in operation worldwide. This proves the need for high performance machines by commercial & custom harvesters and large dairy operations.

The Krone Big M has proven to:

  • Reduce costs - One Big M can cut as much or more than two 15’ self-propelled machines. This reduces machine costs, fuel expenses, and labor requirements.
  • Improve productivity - The Big M has proven to cut up to 37.6 acres per hour. The machine quickly folds to a narrow 10’ transport width with transport (road) speeds of 25 MPH.

Krone Big M II Features:

  • High-torque, turbo charged, inter-cooled 360 HP engine provides plenty of power for high performance mowing.
  • Optional windrow merger allows the complete swath to be placed into one windrow behind the machine.
  • Hydrostatic all-wheel drive offers continuously variable forward speeds from 0 to 25 MPH.
  • Mower units are hydraulically raised to provide a quick change from work to transport position.
  • Variable conditioning options: Intermeshing roller conditioner or V-tine conditioner. V-tine conditioner offers the flexibility of two conditioning speeds, 700 or 1000 RPM, and variable intensity with an adjustable bruising plate.
  • New Krone EasyCut cutterbars offer increased cutting efficiency and cutterbar protection.
  • Travel between fields, or back to the barn, at 25 MPH road speed. Transport width is 10’.
  • A spacious, air-conditioned cab is ergonomically designed for maximum comfort and ease of use. Control levers, switches, and comprehensive monitoring gauges are conveniently arranged.
  • A 148 gallon fuel tank keeps you going all day long.
